Nexen N'Fera SU1 225/50 R17 98Y – summer tyre. EU tyre label: fuel efficiency C, wet grip B, external rolling noise 70 dB. Reinforced XL version. The European Parliament and the Council of the European Union adopted a new regulation in 2020 for all Member States. It replaces Regulation (EC) No 1222/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council. It sets out improved tyre labelling and applies to all tyres manufactured or placed on the market in the EU from 1 May 2021. Under this regulation, manufacturers must, in addition to fuel efficiency, wet grip performance and external rolling noise, also provide further information on snow and ice grip if the tyres are specifically designed for use in extreme snow and ice conditions. In addition, a QR code must be included in the tyre label. The EU tyre label generally applies, with a few exceptions, to passenger car tyres, van tyres and truck tyres (tyre classes C1, C2 and C3).
